The two largest companies providing storage and distribution services for frozen goods in the Netherlands are located in IJmond: Kloosterboer in IJmuiden and Daalimpex in Velsen-Noord. In addition, several well-known road transport companies specialised in refrigerated transport are based in IJmond.
